Meet the Founder

One Football Media began with a simple belief:

Every football club has stories worth preserving before they are lost.

I'm Darren Smale, founder of One Football Media.

I'm not a former professional footballer, nor do I claim to have all the answers. I'm simply someone who believes that the history of clubs like the Wollongong Wolves deserves to be researched, documented and shared with the care it deserves.

Through matchday coverage, photography, interviews, historical research and documentary storytelling, my aim is to record not only what happens on the pitch, but also the people, places and memories that shape a football club.

From long-serving volunteers and supporters to former players, coaches and administrators, every story contributes to a much bigger picture.

One Football Media was created to help preserve that picture for future generations.

This publication is not built by one person alone. It grows through the generosity of supporters who share their memories, photographs and experiences.

My role is simply to bring those stories together with honesty, accuracy and respect.
